3,162 US counties ranked by share white, not hispanic, from highest to lowest. First are Blaine County, NE (100%), McPherson County, NE (99.4%) and Petroleum County, MT (99.3%). The middle one of the 3,162 has 81%.

What this measures

The percentage of residents who are White alone and not Hispanic or Latino. It comes from a table that sorts people by both race and Hispanic origin, so nobody is counted twice. The eight race and ethnicity shares here add up to exactly 100% in every county. Source: Census ACS 5-year.

For most measures, a national ranking mostly sorts places by income and by how urban they are. Each county’s own page compares it with the 50 counties most like it instead, which is often the fairer view.
