3,108 US counties ranked by freezing days, from highest to lowest. First are Lake County, CO (251), San Juan County, CO (233) and Sublette County, WY (231). The middle one of the 3,108 has 83.

What this measures

The number of days in the year when the low temperature fell to 32°F or below, the point where water freezes. The low is the average over the county of NOAA's daily map of weather station readings, made of squares about 3 miles wide.
