2,956 US counties ranked by depression (cdc places), from lowest to highest. First are Aleutians East Borough, AK (12.3%), Middlesex County, NJ (13%) and Aleutians West Census Area, AK (13.1%). The middle one of the 2,956 has 23.9%.

What this measures

The estimated percentage of adults who have been told they have a depressive disorder. It is adjusted so places with older or younger populations can be compared fairly. It is an estimate from a statistical model, not a direct count from a local survey. Source: CDC PLACES.
